ADVERTISING STRATEGY

STEPS TO DISCOVER HOW YOU SHOULD GET YOUR MESSAGE ACROSS

In order to discover how to get your message across, you must create a persona for the target, as explained by Nicole Gamino from Mccann Erikson.
The four steps are:
Demographics: what your age income, gender, origin, etc is.
Pyschographics: what interests you and what gets you out of bed in the morning.
Media preference: where you get your information, which magazines you look at
Behavioral dynamics: how do you interact with the product/brand and how you use the product

GAMES AFFECT ON ADVERTISING

Games have a prominent role in advertising. The brand General Mills has several online games and activities for the kids to play with. One of the games is to make a comic strip featuring the character that represents the brand. (click http://honeydefender.millsberry.com/honeydefender/comiccreator/Create.aspx to check out the game for yourself). Many of the kids have found that they like their creation so much that they want to send it to their friends. In this way, they're helping the spread of the product without even realizing it.

Other games include things like what Anthony Perez has explained:

Advertising to Kids

It is difficult to advertise to kids, as explained by Ananda Edelstein.

USING THE ADDICTIVE PROPERTY

USE OF EMOTIONS AND HUMOR IN ADVERTISING

Advertising companies sometimes use emotions to get to remember their product. How many people haven't seen the Old Spice Commercial? It's funny and memorable. Our personal favorite commercial is this Google commercial. They use love as a memorable emotion.
