[Mind] Games

EMS DISPATCH

In the 19th century, Germany tried to break away from the Austrians. Like most other countries in Europe at this time, the Germans were overcome by a feeling of nationalism and wanted to become their own country, without a foreign ruler. In the process of trying to liberate his country from a different ethnic ruler, the prime minister (?) of the country, Otto von Bismarck, doctored a telegram that caused the French king to become upset and declare war on the German people. This war brought Germany that much closer to  becoming a unified state.

The Kaiser of Germany at this time, Wilhelm I met with a French representative to deliberate European issues. There was a report made about this meeting. Bismarck manipulated this report and made it public. It looked as if the Kaiser had insulted France. Napoleon was so upset by this embarrassment that he declared war on the Prussians (Germans), just has Bismarck had wanted.

This manipulation of a message caused a war to be declared. Bismarck wanted to provoke this type of response from the French ruler because he needed to continue his goal of unifying his beloved country. After this war, the Germans gained Alsace-Lorraine and soon after the addition of this final piece, Germany was unified. On January 18th, 1871, the Wilhelm I was declared the emperor of Germany. Without the manipulation of this report, the Franco-Prussian war would not have occurred; it would have been difficult to unite Germany. Though in the process of reaching this ultimate goal of unifying his beloved country involved lying, deception, and manipulation, Bismarck felt that this was what needed to be done. He believed in realpolitik, or doing what you deem is necessary.

CONSPIRACIES

There are people in this world that believe the government system we have today is fixed; those are the people that believe in the secret groups, like the Illuminati. Some people believe that the government is manipulative and play games with the heads of the American citizens. One of these people is Hyde from “That 70s Show”.

World War I

After the United States entered WWI in the 1917, many people believed that the country had been manipulated into joining the war. Some believed that though Wilson publicly did not support America entering the war,  he really wanted to enter the "war to end all wars" so that democracy could prevail. There are some people that believe both the British and Americans knew that the Lusitania was going to be sunk because the Germans were in that area. Instead of maneuvering around where they knew the German submarines would be, the Lusitania was bombed and innocent lives were lost. The people who believe in this conspiracy thought that Wilson needed innocent lives to be lost in order to have something backing him to go forward in war with.  With the Zimmerman Telegram following right after this, it was the perfect set up for the Americans to enter in this war.

Iraq War

Picture
Though it was publicly declared that George Bush and the United States army went into the Iraq war in order to stop terrorism, search for weapons of mass destruction, and promote the civil rights of the Iraqi people, others believe that this war is for far more selfish reasons. The oil plentiful in this region was appealing to President Bush, a man who happens to have major investments in the oil industry. There have been accounts that the plan to initiate this would-be deadly war began weeks before the inauguration of Bush. This theory is an example of how the government plays games with American citizens. We were led to believe we are fighting for another country's freedom and well being. Now we find out that our soldiers might just be getting used and taken advantage of in Bush's plot to obtain oil. These "mind games" the government plays is how they hide the truth from the citizens of the United States.

Alan Greenspan, a former chairman of the federal reserves, confirms that the current Iraqi war is "largely about oil". Paul Wolfowitz says, "We had virtually no economic options with Iraq, because the country floats on a sea of oil." At one point, the American troops only guarded the Ministries of Oil and the interior of Baghdad. While they were guarding these areas, native robbers were looting museums. It was important for them to guard the oil areas because they had to make sure that the only people getting the oil were the Americans. In the 1990s, Dick Cheney, the vice president of the United States during Bush's time, had said, "By 2010 we will need on the order of an additional fifty million barrels a day. So where is the oil going to come from? While many regions of the world offer great oil opportunities, the Middle East, with two-thirds of the world's oil and the lowest cost, is still where the prize ultimately lies." The beginning of Cheney's term as vice president consisted of secret delegations, with high security. Later on in 2003, the documents from these meetings were found. What exactly was found? Maps of oil fields in Iraq. These meetings coincidentally began 6 months before 9/11. People have fought all the way to the Supreme Court to find out what these secret meetings were about, but they still couldn't find out.
